Amber & Cody -Bridal Session

So, Cody and Amber took me up on a suggestion I made when we were discussing their wedding timeline.

Rather than be stifled by the busy wedding day schedule, they decided to let me just capture their day photojournalist-style (which I do anyway) and save the creative time for another day!

So, a couple of weeks after their wedding, they dressed back up and we headed out for some (VERY COLD!) fun! (Yes, there was snow on the ground, and Amber braved it anyway!)

Here are a couple from that day!

p.s. The car one was taken at This Old House...to find out more, check out my last post. It has become my newest downfall...everytime I go to do a session, I end up buying something.

Important Ordering Deadlines!!!

With Holiday craziness upon us, I wanted to make sure that you were reminded of some important ordering deadlines.

Orders must be placed NO LATER than 5 pm on DECEMBER 1st, in order to receive them in time for Christmas. (this means that the order, and cleared payment must be received by this time).

Brandy Ellen Photography will be closed between December 14th and January 4th - no orders will be placed during this time!

Thanks to everyone who braved the cold weather to have your holiday cards and pictures made. I love so many of the images we were able to get and I know your friends and family will as well.

Meet Kasey - Senior Session (Dayton and Springfield Senior Photographer)

Kasey and her family are simply amazing. I had the honor of photographing her sister Amber's engagement and wedding (remember Amber and Cody???), and it is always such a pleasure to work with them.

We had a lot of fun, did everything from "country girl" to "America's Top Model" in our session, and I had the opportunity to shoot at a new location that I am in LOVE with.

Susan, the owner of This Old House in Springfield (on US Route 68 between Yellow Springs and Springfield), has graciously allowed me to photograph some of my sessions on her property. Let me just say, "Kid in a candy store!"

If you are ever out her way, make a point to stop by and check out what she has...you will find all kinds of antique furniture, signs, decorations...she has everything from antique bikes to candles to Christmas decorations in her store. If you like primitive/rustic decorating and architectural salvage...you will be SO HAPPY you stopped by!

Here are a couple of pictures of Kasey at This Old House:

And here are some from the rest of our session:

Any good model must be able to go from sassy to silly at a moment's command:

So, so gorgeous...you, your mom, both your sisters...I am a lucky girl to have you in fron of my camera! Thanks for a great day!

Meet my newest muse...

...his name is Destin, and he is around 8 weeks old. As far as we know, he is half-lab and half-mastiff.

We found him during our bi-weekly trip to the Farmer's Market...one of the vendor's had him in their booth "advertising" for the Humane Society. Well, I took one look at him and told my family that I was pretty sure we found ourselves another dog. Sure enough, the rest of the fam agreed...the Humane Society approved us, and Destin has a new forever home!

We think he is gorgeous, and his demeanor is pretty sweet too. We are excited to have him!

Meet Emily...(Dayton and Springfield Senior Photographer)

Isn't she absolutely stunning? Not only that, but she (and her mom) were so sweet and fun.

I think we bonded while we were huddled together in the car getting warm after every few pictures! :)

Thanks for a great day! I hope you are as thrilled with your sneak peek as I am!

Little Miss I - Sneak Peek (Dayton and Springfield Children Photographer)

Little Miss I was the cutest thing. I still cannot get over how well she could carry on a conversation for a 2.5 year old.

Mom - you did a GREAT job picking out her clothes; I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the hat (but you already knew that!).

Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Still not too sure what she think of me here:

Here we go...now she is having some fun!

Mommy H Maternity

This is H's 4th pregnancy, and she is quite amazing! She homeschools 3 boys, is an active advocate for birth & breastfeeding, and owns her own sling company.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE mommies and babies, and it was my pleasure to capture this moment in her pregnancy for her. I am looking forward to photographing this little one's birth and newborn pictures...YAY!!!!

Enjoy your sneak peek!

The C Family - Sneak Peek (Dayton and Springfield Family Photographer)

Not much of an introduction needed for these...the pics speak for themselves: Four boys, Super cute, photogenic, willing to brave the cold...

...thanks for bearing with me. Hope the pictures are worth it!

Cody & Amber - Sneak Peek (Dayton and Springfield Wedding Photographer)

When I met Amber & Cody, I knew that their wedding was going to be special. When I did their engagement session, I knew it was going to be fun. I had no idea just how special and fun it would be, though.

Everything, and I mean everything, had special meaning in this wedding. During the ceremony, they read poems to each other. But, get this...they wrote those poems YEARS ago in high school - when they were first dating.

Instead of favors, they donated money in each guest's name to 3 important charities. And...the best part of all...they sealed their vows with...a pinky swear!
How cool is that?!

All in all, I will say what I have said before...I truly have the best clients in the world. Amber and Cody, I was honored to be present for your most special and fun day! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

H Family - Sneak Peek

I had the great privilege of photographing one of my favorite families in the whole world. Mom and Dad were in our wedding...and they continue to be our closest friends. So, of course, when they drove 3 hours to have their family pictures taken in the freezing weather...I jumped at the chance!

Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I also have a maternity session, a lifestyle session, and a senior session this week...so keep an eye out for lots of fun posting in the next couple of weeks!

While you are waiting, though, I thought I would share a little bit from my vacation. These pictures are from a wonderful farm in Southwest Virginia. The owners are SO friendly, and truly love to put on a good time for their visitors. If you ever get to Riner, VA - be sure to check out Sinkland Farms!
