Meet Kara - Dayton and Springfield Senior Photographer

A cute smile, a great laugh, and some REALLY HIGH HEELS!!! That pretty much describes my most recent senior.

I couldn't believe this girl was willing to walk all over town in those toe-killers...but hey, she did look good in them! :)

We had a fun time exploring the town and sneaking in all the nooks and crannies for some great pics. Thanks for a great afternoon; I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

New Product Offering...

...and it is WAY COOL!!!

Brandy Ellen Photography has now teamed up with another amazing artist to provide the next level of portrait artwork for the most discerning clients.

PAINTED PORTRAITS

This is the perfect product for brides, or for any of my clients who pride themselves on having the highest quality artwork in their homes!

Here is how it works:
  1. Have your session or wedding with Brandy
  2. During proofing, decide which images you would like to present as a painted portrait in your home
  3. Anne will take the portaits you love from your session or wedding and create a digitally painted image.
  4. Brandy will then have it printed on high quality canvas and gallery-wrapped on a custom-built wooden stretcher frame. The final product comes finished and ready to hang...no framing necessary.
  5. Hang your painted portrait and wait for the "oohs" and "aahs" to begin! :)

Here is an example of what we have to offer:

Please email or call Brandy to find out details about these amazing new products.

Family Session - Dayton and Springfield Family Photographer

I had the opportunity to work with an amazing family last week. We had 2 families and the grandparents!

We met up at some local gardens, and spent a couple hours just capturing who they are.

Well, imagine 4 children (ages 5 and under), lots of room to run, a photographer who likes "candid" shots, and a 10 lb. camera and lens...yeah, I definitely burned some calories in this session!

We had a lot of fun and captured some great moments. Thanks for letting me hang out with ya'll! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

TWO WARNINGS:

  1. LOTS of pictures...when there are lots of people, and they all happen to be gorgeous...well, this is the consequence.
  2. LOTS of black and white. Don't worry, guys, I have tons of color for you too...the black and whites were just so striking that I had to put them up. I threw in a couple color ones too, just to keep us all on our toes!

Annual Fund Drive for NILMDTS

With the Month of October being recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, The Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation holds its Annual Fund Drive for six weeks starting in mid-September and ending in October.

President Ronald Reagan enacted Proclamation 5890 in October of 1988 to recognize that each year, approximately a million pregnancies in the United States alone end in miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of a newborn child. Reagan stated, "A national observance offers us the opportunity to increase our understanding of the great tragedy involved in the deaths of unborn or newborn babies. It also enables us to consider how, as individuals and communities, we can meet the needs of bereaved parents and family members... " To read the full Proclamation signed by Reagan, CLICK HERE.

If you are in a place to make even a small contribution to NILMDTS, please know that doing so will continue to allow the organization to provide improved resources, training, communication, and other tools necessary in support of our amazing contingent of professional photographers who provide the gift of free remembrance portraiture to families in need.

Your donations help the organization in many ways -

  • By supporting the continued education of our volunteer photographers

  • By allowing us to further our outreach to hospitals and hospices across the world
  • By offsetting the costs associated with outreach efforts including Formal NILMDTS Training Seminars
  • By supporting the Family Forum which creates a productive and supportive haven for healing
  • By supporting the Photographers' Forum which provides a helpful environment for our member photographers to express their feelings and receive advice on the various issues that they face in this noble work
  • By supporting the day to day operations of our Headquarters Offices

No Power = NO sessions...

As most of you already know (or are experiencing)...the area I live in was hit by massive wind storms on Sunday.

As a result there are still several hundred thousand people with no power...with estimates into next week for when they will get it back.

Thankfully, we are not without power...but many of my clients are...so sessions have had to be moved and rescheduled to accommodate.

However, as soon as the power is back...we will be up and rolling again, so be on the look out for these rescheduled sneak peeks:

Kara - Senior Session
Gretchen and Mike - E-session

If you think about it, say a quick prayer for all the people that have been displaced or are without water/power, etc...not just here, but everywhere in the world.

Meet Nick...

Seriously, I have THE BEST clients ever. For Real. They are fun, up for anything, and just all around make my job a blast.

Nick and his family were no exception. They epitomize the term "hospitality" and were more than gracious to my entire family during the session.

Nick, as you can see, is very handsome and has a lot of fun "hobbies." It was a blast working with you; I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
